Field Day @ the ECC - Permission Slip & Payment Link

Posted Date: 06/10/26 (03:16 PM)

Dear HKMS Families,

Our tradition of celebrating the end of the school year with an ECC Field Day returns! The ECC is providing a variety of FUN ACTIVITIES and UNLIMITED FOOD for a cost of $34.50 per student. This is designed to be an enjoyable, relaxing end of the year event for all our students. Our field day will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026.

Students will be escorted to the ECC by HKMS staff at about 8:15 am and return to school at approximately 11:45 am. Dismissal is at 11:50 am. Students will not need to re-enter the school building upon arriving back to HKMS. They will be directed to their regular departing area, supervised by HKMS staff.

Sincerely,
Sarah Gidley and Dave Breyer

Permission slip and payment to be returned by: Thursday, June 18, 2026

Payments are non-refundable. The student and parent assume the personal risk of loss of the deposit or payment.

There is a limited amount of funding available for students who may be unable to afford expenses for field trips or other educational activities. A parent/guardian may contact Annie Mohr, Assistant Principal of HKMS (amohr@er9.org) to apply for "Field Trip Assistance Grant funds".

The Board of Education and Administration recognize field trips as a valuable part of the school program and as an extension of the school's curriculum. Therefore, all Policies and Regulations are in effect at a school-sponsored activity on or off campus. Participation in a field trip by students is regarded as a privilege and not a right.  Students are reminded that they are representatives of their school and community during field trips and appropriate behavior is an absolute requirement. All school rules apply on field trips, and students who violate these rules during a field trip face appropriate penalties as outlined in the Student Parent/Guardian Handbook.
