Dear HKMS Families,

Thank you so much for joining us at the open house last night. It was wonderful to see so many of you connect with our teachers and see firsthand the great things happening here at HKMS.

During the open house, our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) launched their annual fundraising drive. The PTO is a cornerstone of our school community, dedicated to enriching your child's experience in so many ways. They fund everything from the recess equipment and sunshades you see on the patio to teacher and team grants that bring new, innovative ideas into the classroom and subsidize field trips.

This is the PTO's only fundraiser of the year, and it directly supports our students and staff for the entire school year. Our dedicated PTO co-presidents, Nikki Kaldawy and Carrie Maisano, announced an exciting participation-based competition! The grade with the highest participation will earn an extra recess period. If they reach their fundraising goal, they'll also purchase a new patio table, a foosball game for indoor recess, and new cafeteria furniture!

Unlike other fundraisers, we aren't asking you to buy, sell, or bid on anything. We hope you make a direct, tax-deductible donation. Your support directly enriches your child's school experience.
