Definition:
Gang Green
is a group of students, encompassing all grades, devoted to
establishing a program within the school to promote environmental
stewardship.
GOAL:
To raise
awareness and knowledge of environmental issues that are impacting
our school, community and world.
OBJECTIVES:
- To
establish key practices in school to promote efficient recycling
- To
create a paper and bottle recycling program
- To
reward students and staff who demonstrate
environmentally-friendly practices
- To
create a plan to collect other recyclable materials
ACTION
PLAN:
- Collect
recyclable materials daily throughout the school (classrooms,
offices, and common areas)
- Design
Environmental Question of the Week open to the entire
school community, announced during morning announcements, posted
on the school website and available in the main office
- Share
the answer, with the school, to the Environmental Question of
the Week
- Create
a public service announcement for the local cable access channel
to promote recycling

Identify key practices shown by students and staff

Reinforce environmentally-friendly practices among students and
staff by awarding them with recognition and a water bottle

Literacy includes speaking, listening, presenting, interpreting,

An ecosystem
is composed of all the populations that are living in a certain
space and the physical factors in which they interact.
