| School Nurses provide yearly
screenings as required by CT General Statutes, Section 10-214.
VISION
Students in Kindergarten
through Grade 6, Grade 9 and all new students.
HEARING
Pure-tone (audiometric)
hearings tests for students in Kindergarten through Grade 3, and
Grades 5 and 8.
POSTURE
Students in Grade 5 though
Grade 9.
Following a health screening,
parents/guardians of students who need further evaluation by a
physician will be notified. Parents should return the referral form
to the school nurse after it has been completed by a physician.
