J. K. Rowling’s latest hit

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is about Harry Potter 5th year at Hogwarts. He knows that Voldemort, the dark wizard (or the "Bad Guy") is back (he was supposedly killed) but very few believe him. A group of people called The Order of the Phoenix try to warn people that he has returned but every one laugh because they think it is a silly idea. Harry Potter 5 is an exciting chain of events that will keep you on the edge of your seat until you’ve finished.

Jenny Carroll
Taryn Colonnese

Jenny Carroll has written many series. The three to my knowledge are The Princess Diaries (printed under Meg Cabot), The Mediator Series, and my personal favorite, the 1-800-Where-R-You series.

The 1-800-Where-R-You series includes three books. When Lightning Strikes, Code Name Cassandra, and Safe House. I also think she is publishing a forth.

There are many reasons why Jenny Carroll is a good author. One is that she always has a good beginning and end to her books. When she starts out a book, she doesn’t tell you the plot right away, she builds it up. Her endings also leave you thinking but they answer all of your questions. In my opinion, it takes a good author to do that.

Another reason is that she includes so much good description. In some parts of the book it is almost like you can feel the movements of the characters. She lets you watch the book unfold like a movie in front of you.

One last reason that the 1-800-Where-R-You series id so great is that Jenny Carroll includes problems and conflicts that the reader can relate to. Instead of just explaining that characters problems, she really makes a story out of them.

I love all of Jenny Carroll’s books and I hope that others will too.

Julie of the Wolves
Review by Cristina

I thought Julie of the Wolves was an all right book.  On a scale from 1 to 5, 5 being the best I would give it a 3.  I thought it was very confusing especially in the beginning and also very hard to follow.  I wasn't able to get a clear picture of the characters in my head, but I think the landscape was described very well.  I don't think this was one of Jean Craighead George's best novels.  I don't recommend reading this book.
